FOOD DRIVE AT HOLYOKE MALL

Holyoke Mall to Host Food Drive to Benefit Food Bank of Western Massachusetts

HOLYOKE, MA- Holyoke Mall is proud to partner with Western Mass News to hold a food drive to benefit The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts from February 15th – February 24th on the Upper Level near Target.

 

Donation boxes will be available Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for guests to drop off non-perishable donations. Most needed items are as follows:

  • Peanut Butter and Jelly
  • Rice and Canned Soup
  • Spaghetti and Canned Sauce
  • Canned Pastas and Mac n’ Cheese
  • Tuna and Canned Beans
  • Low Sugar Cereal and Fruit

 

“Currently, more than 225,000 people throughout western Massachusetts rely on the services of The Food Bank and its member agencies of food pantries, meal sites and shelters. Last year, The Food Bank distributed more than 11.6 million pounds of food — the equivalent of 9.6 million meals — in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire counties,” Stated Chris Wojcik, Marketing and Communications Manager of The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.

 

The food drive is a part of Holyoke Mall’s long-standing tradition of giving back to the community. “We are proud to support such an important organization,” stated General Manager, Bill Rogalski. “The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts has a profound effect on our community, and we are happy to lend a helping hand.”

 

Additionally, Western Mass News will be collecting donations from February 15th to February 24, 2019 at their station located at 1300 Liberty Street in Springfield.
