About the American Red Cross:

Each day, thousands of people – people just like you – provide compassionate care to those in need. Our network of generous donors, volunteers and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering, here at home and around the world.

We roll up our sleeves and donate time, money and blood. We learn or teach life-saving skills so our communities can be better prepared when the need arises. We do this every day because the Red Cross is needed – every day.

About the American Legion

The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans.

About the Veterans of Foreign War:

The VFW is one of only a handful of national nonprofit organizations recognized by the Department of Veterans Affairs to represent, prepare and prosecute veterans’ benefit claims before the agency, with a presence on Capitol Hill and every VA Regional Office. As the VFW evolves in its training programs, the VFW National Veterans Service directorate looks forward to its next century of cutting through bureaucratic red tape for veterans.
